Ballot Measure Leader Training Membership - Monthly Payment

The membership level provides full access to all Ballot Measure Leader Training course offerings including: training modules for all phases of the ballot measure campaign including tools and templates, automatic invites to virtual workshops and office hours (returning in 2023) that will allow them to engage with experienced practitioners and put into practice what they are learning, and access to our community feature which provides opportunities to connect and build relationships with other trainees. Membership level participants automatically receive access to new and updated offerings as they become available.  Members retain access to modules for the full year of membership.

Qualification Phase Package

The Qualification Phase determines if the initiative will appear on the ballot. For citizen-initiated measures, this phase is when the coalition works to gather, count, verify and submit the required petition collection signatures while building the foundation for the campaign. For legislatively-referred measures, this phase is when the coalition is leveraging inside and outside strategies to move a measure through the legislature and build public awareness and support. Modules included in this package: Signature Gathering, Ballot Measure Communications, Intentional Leadership Development, Going Proactive on Defense

Campaign Phase Package

The Campaign Phase prepares voters to decide on the initiative. During this phase a campaign will be leveraging every opportunity and tactic available to organize supporters, build their winning narrative and deliver their tested messaging, counter the opposition, and provide voters the information they need to confidently vote on the ballot measure.  Modules included in this package: Voter Contact, Data & Targeting, Ballot Measure Messaging, Paid Media, Paid Digital, and Direct Mail/Voter Guides

360 Ballot Measure Lifecycle Packages

These packages group sets of modules by the phases of the 360 ballot measure lifecycle. This allows participants to engage in training based on where they are in the campaign cycle. They will receive access to training content videos and related tools and templates, automatic invites to the workshops and office hours connected to those modules (returning in 2023), and access to our community feature which provides opportunities to connect and build relationships with other trainees.

Participants retain access to modules for 180 days after purchase. 

Incubation Phase Package

The Incubation Phase lays the groundwork for a successful campaign. During this time leaders are working with partners and directly impacted communities to identify policy, narrative, and organizing opportunities and threats; build winning coalitions; and begin investing in organizing strategies, policy research, informal research, organizational health and Staff/Volunteer Leadership Development. By doing so, you will set the conditions and grow the capacity needed to win on bold policy solutions that come from directly impacted communities. Modules included in this package: Ballot Measures as a Tool for Change, Knowing Your State Rules, and Ballot Measure Coalitions & Structures

Decision Phase Package

The Decision Phase determines the initiative's viability in the current political landscape. During this phase coalitionā€™s conduct campaign viability and messaging research, explore the political landscape and assess their coalitionā€™s capacity to determine if they have successfully leveraged the incubation phase to create winning conditions. At the end of this phase, the coalition will determine whether to move forward to the next phase or not.  Modules included in this package: Go/No Go Decision Making, Polling 101, Campaign Planning, Fundraising & Budgeting

Post-Campaign and Implementation Phase Package

The Post-Campaign and Implementation Phase begins before a ballot measure has passed on the ballot to make the policy a reality. During this phase, the coalition works on legislative, litigation, and organizing strategies to ensure that people benefit from the voters' decision and understand how to access any resources or information related to the policy. The Implementation and Post-Election Phase is a likely time for your opposition to attempt to limit, block or reverse ballot measure policies that have recently passed.  Modules included in this package: Ballot Measure Implementation, Campaign Evaluation
